Vito Bavaro – Apulia Region

He graduated in electronic engineering at the University of Naples, He holds a M.Sc. in aerospace systems from the Kingston University of London and a Ph.D. in electronic engineering from the University RomaTre. In 1995 he joined the Italian Air Force. He worked as avionic system test engineer at the ItAF Flight Test Centre. Since 2009 he has been working at Puglia Region: he was in charge of the Digital Systems, Technology and Infrastructures Section of the Healthcare Department until 2020. He was responsible of several e-health projects.
Currently he is in charge of the Digital Growth Section at the Economic Development Department. Within the framework of the regional smart specialisation strategy, his activity is focused on supporting the digital transformation of public local institutions and private companies and increasing the digital skills of the population.
