ICCC NEWS: The ICCC at BuyWine in Florence; Canadian investments in aerospace; etc…

FEBRUARY 2023

Dear partners and members,

In this edition of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada’s (ICCC) monthly newsletter, we will be discussing current affairs and updating you on the latest news pertaining to the ICCC.

ICCC NEWS

The ICCC accompanies Canadian delegation to BuyWine 2023

Once again this year, the CCIC is participating in the most important event dedicated to Tuscan wine – Buy Wine 2023 – with a delegation of 16 agents. Tuscan wine is particularly appreciated in Québec, with demand and consumption constantly growing.

In 2022, the turnover of Tuscan wines was over 145 million CAD, just in the province of Québec. Among red wines, it was Brunello di Montalcino that recorded the most significant increase. Nonetheless, the category of white wines is growing strongly, in line with the general trend of consumption. Yet there still remains space to position Tuscan wines in the province.

The current demand is strongly oriented towards organic wines, in all categories. In fact, in just a few years, the percentage of organic Tuscan wines represents 20% of the total offer. See pictures here.
