Italy opens up once again to Canadians visitors
The opening of the European Union’s borders, and therefore of Italy, now allows Canadians to travel to the continent for their vacations. However, Canadian travelers who fly to Europe must observe, upon return, a mandatory quarantine of 14 days. The Canadian government has renewed the moratorium which prohibits entry into the country of any person who is not a Canadian citizen or resident until July 31st. Click here.
Tourism: a badge for COVID-free hotels in Italy
The Italian government is currently evaluating the use of a sticker certifying tourist accommodations that comply with safety and COVID-19 prevention standards. This new sticker or badge which would first be tested in hotels in Rome, should help support the recovery of the tourism industry and limit the spread of the coronavirus. Click here (in Italian).
REMINDER! Souper Gourmand chez soi
This evening, at 6 p.m., participate in our 3rd Souper Gourmand Chez Soi Webinar, an initiative of Wine and Travel Italy at Home, with the new chef of Restaurant Fiorellino and the sommelier Guénaël Revel as master of ceremonies. On the menu for the evening are three delicious recipes made with typical Tuscan products. We will also have the honour to hear a few words from Valentino Tesi, a renowned sommelier and an expert in Chianti Classico wines who held the title of “Chief Master of Chianti Classico” in 2019.
