A Strategic Exchange Between Europe and Canada
On December 4th, the Chamber was pleased to host “Transatlantic Dialogues: Building Growth with Europe”, an event organized in collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Canada (CCIFC), the Belgian Canadian Business Chamber, and our official partners Air Canada, Delmar Chemicals, Inc. – Minakem, and RBC.
In a global context shaped by the rapid development of artificial intelligence, growing cybersecurity challenges, and ongoing geopolitical tensions, digital sovereignty has become a central concern for businesses and policymakers alike. The event provided a valuable opportunity to address key questions: how can digital sovereignty be approached in practical terms? Where do Europe and Canada stand in their pursuit of strategic autonomy? And how can sustainable and resilient technological partnerships be built across the Atlantic?
These topics were explored through insightful and forward-looking discussions led by our distinguished panelists:
- Estelle Azemard, OVHcloud
- Roberto Mazzolin, RHEA Group
- David Dzialowski, CBTW Americas
The panel was expertly moderated by Chloe Germentier, who guided the conversation with energy and clarity.
One conclusion emerged clearly from the discussions: Europe and Canada have significant opportunities to build together, particularly in the fields of innovation, strategic technologies, and economic growth. This first edition marks the beginning of a promising collaborative dialogue between our three Chambers.
The Chamber would like to sincerely thank all participants for their engagement, thoughtful questions, and contributions to the success of this inaugural event.
Congratulations as well to our lucky attendee who won the door prize: two round-trip tickets to Italy, generously offered by Air Canada.
