Scott Streiner – Deloitte

Senior Advisor / Deloitte

Scott Streiner is a Senior Advisor with Deloitte whose areas of focus include public sector strategy and governance, regulatory modernization, transportation, and space. He is the principal author of a number of Deloitte publications on regulatory reform and permitting, as well as a forthcoming paper on the economic contribution and potential of Canada’s space sector.

Before joining Deloitte in 2021, Scott had a 31-year career with the Government of Canada. His public sector roles included Chair and CEO of the Canadian Transportation Agency; Assistant Secretary to Cabinet for Economic Policy; Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), Policy at Transport Canada; Executive Director of the Aerospace Review; ADM, Labour; and Vice President, Program Delivery with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.

Scott has also served as Vice Chair of the OECD’s Network of Economic Regulators, Vice Chair of the Council of Canadian Administrative Tribunals, and Chair of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety.

In addition to his work with Deloitte, Scott is a mediator and arbitrator with a number of leading dispute resolution institutions and an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University.

Scott has a PhD in Political Science, an MA in International Affairs, and a BA in East Asian Studies. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a graduate of the Rotman School of Management’s Director Education Program (ICD.D).
