Pierre-Philippe Lortie – Innovation Consultant

Before joining CRIM, Pierre-Philippe was director for Quebec at the Canadian Council of Innovators (CCI) where he helped both levels of government work more closely with innovation entrepreneurs with the aim of strengthening their access to talent, to capital and customers to gain momentum internationally. During his four years at the CCI, he developed the CCI’s presence within the innovation ecosystem of Montreal and Quebec. He established several important initiatives during his mandate, including the working table on the impacts of Bill 14 in the technology and innovation sector and the study on the economic performance of tax credits on Quebec innovation ecosystem.
He is a member of the Axelys Development and Transfer advisory committee, whose objective is to encourage more valorization activities in research circles by mobilizing all stakeholders. He is also a member of the ICT sector sustainability committee of the Digital Governance Council (DGC), which proposes bold public policies to collect, measure, report and reduce GHG emissions emitted by the digital technologies sector.
Pierre-Philippe has 20 years of experience in managing international business projects, both at the government and corporate level, related to the environment and climate change, energy transition and innovation.
Holder of a master’s degree in political science (international relations), he speaks French, English and Italian fluently and has a good knowledge of German.
