Guido Boella – University of Turin

Pro­fes­sor Gui­do Boel­la has been Direc­tor of the Com­pu­ter Scien­ce Depart­ment from 2018 to 2021 and a mem­ber of the Aca­de­mic Senate of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Turin. His resear­ch acti­vi­ties con­cern the fields of arti­fi­cial intel­li­gen­ce, the legal infor­ma­tics of geoin­for­ma­tics and the bloc­k­chain. He has crea­ted soft­ware such as the social net­work Fir­stLi­fe and the wal­let app bloc­k­chain Com­mon­shood. He has par­ti­ci­pa­ted in tech­no­lo­gy trans­fer pro­jec­ts for com­pa­nies. He foun­ded the uni­ver­si­ty spi­noff Nomo­ti­ka.

He is the coor­di­na­tor of various regio­nal and Euro­pean pro­jec­ts (ICT4­LAW, EUCa­ses, CANP, WeGo­v­Now, Co-city, CO3, PININ, NLAB4CIT) and of the inter­na­tio­nal doc­to­ra­te in Law, Scien­ce and Tech­no­lo­gy LAST-JD. He is vicepresident of the Competence Center Industry Manufacturing CIM4.0 and cofounder of the Italian Society for the Ethics of AI (SIpEIA)
