Cluster Manager / Associazione Fabbrica Intelligente Lombardy (AFIL)
Giacomo Copani is the Cluster Manager of “AFIL”, the Advanced Manufacturing Cluster of the Lombardy Region, and the Head of Manufacturing Business Models Research at the Institute STIIMA of the National Research Council of Italy.
He is an expert in innovation and cluster policies, business models design/assessment and industrial servitization processes in the frame of the digital and circular economy transition. He is the coordinator several European and National research and innovation projects, as well as of the Pilot Initiative “Efficient and Sustainable Manufacturing” of the “Vanguard Initiative – New Growth Through Smart Specialisation” and of the “S3 Platform on Industrial Modernisation” of the European Commission.
