Diego is a native of Trieste but he has lived in several cities across Italy. After earning a degree in Business Administration from the University of Rome (La Sapienza), he built his career in ICT companies, taking on roles of increasing responsibility within Sales departments.
He has worked for Honeywell/Bull, Elsag Bailey, Oracle Italy, Datamat, Getronics Italy, and Oracle Italy again.
In 2019, he left Oracle—where he had been Sales Manager for the Italian Local Public Sector—and was appointed CEO of Insiel S.p.A., the in-house ICT company owned by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, a position he currently holds.
From 2022 to 2023, he served as President of Assinter, the association of Italian public in-house ICT companies. He now serves as Vice President of the association, with responsibility for relations with the European Union.
He is also a member of the scientific committees of the Italian Liver Foundation and AICA (Associazione Italiana per il Calcolo Automatico).
