Québec–Piémont Mission Deepens Ties Across Innovation Sectors

Montréal recently welcomed a high-level institutional delegation from the Piedmont Region, as part of a multi-day mission to Québec focused on strengthening collaboration across key sectors.

Bringing together more than 30 representatives from leading public agencies and institutions, the delegation reflected the breadth of Piedmont’s economic and innovation ecosystem. Over the course of the visit, the program included a series of meetings and on-site visits with Québec stakeholders in aerospace, health and life sciences, green and clean technologies, agrifood, and advanced manufacturing.

With the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, the mission placed a strong emphasis on direct, practical exchanges. In addition to site visits, a series of targeted B2B meetings enabled delegates and local partners to engage in more in-depth discussions, better understand their respective ecosystems, and identify tangible opportunities for collaboration.

Beyond sector-specific discussions, the mission also highlighted a broader alignment between Québec and Piedmont. Both regions are recognized for their industrial expertise, research capacity, and commitment to innovation—creating a natural foundation for long-term partnerships.

The mission concluded with a cocktail reception at the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, bringing together close to 100 guests from the business and institutional communities. The evening offered a final opportunity to connect in a more informal setting and to highlight the momentum built throughout the week.

The Chamber was proud to welcome:

  • Enrico Pavone, Consul General of Italy in Montréal;
  • Laurence Fouquette-L’Anglais, Delegate of Québec in Rome;
  • Andrea Tronzano, Regional Minister for Productive Activities, Internationalization and Investment Attraction;
  • Federico Riboldi, Regional Minister of Health;
  • Michela Favaro, Deputy Mayor of the City of Turin;
  • Massimiliano Cipolletta, President, Chamber of Commerce of Turin;
  • Dario Peirone, President, CEIPIEMONTE s.c.p.a.;

  • Davide Ferraris, Professor of Biochemistry and Rector’s Delegate, University of Eastern Piedmont;
  • and many other institutional, academic, and innovation stakeholders from the Piedmont region.
