Andrea Galimberti is Full Professor of Zoology at the University of Milano-Bicocca and Spoke 5 Leader (Urban Biodiversity) of the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC). He also serves as one of the NBFC–CINECA platform coordinator, with a focus on the molecular layer of Italian biodiversity.
His research investigates the diversity, health, and interactions of urban animal communities—such as birds and pollinators—to design functional green infrastructures and enhance urban resilience and citizens’ awareness through nature-based solutions.
