As Founder of eDNAtec Inc., he has led the development of cutting-edge environmental DNA (eDNA) technologies that are transforming how industries and governments assess ecosystem health and sustainability. Hajibabaei is also a Professor at the University of Guelph and Chief Scientific Officer of its Centre for Biodiversity Genomics, where his research integrates genomics, bioinformatics, and AI to decode ecological complexity across space and time.
