May 2022
Dear members and partners,
In this edition of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada’s (ICCC) monthly newsletter, we will be discussing current affairs and updating you on the latest news pertaining to the ICCC.
ICCC NEWS
On April 27th, the ICCC’s Annual General Assembly was held in the BMO Bank of Montreal offices. During the course of the evening, the Chamber and its members celebrated recent accomplishments and cast their votes to select the new Board of Directors. The Board’s Director, M. Carmine D’Argenio, expressed his gratitude towards his colleagues, and acknowledged the resilience with which they maintained steady operations over these past two difficult years. Because of this continued engagement, the Chamber was able to uphold its leading status within the Assocamerestero’s 78 Italian chambers of commerce, effectively positioning itself as 3rd worldwide and 1st in North America. These admirable results would not have been possible without the relentless work, perseverance, and agility of the ICCC team, as well as the continuous support of partners, clients, and Italian institutional representatives.
In the current context of economic recovery, the Chamber continues to play a vital role, both in Italy and in Quebec, in assessing potential merging opportunities and accompanying businesses in their internationalization process between Canada and Italy. The ICCC has worked diligently on fortifying its unique and exclusive platforms, such as the Canada-Italy Business Forum on Artificial Intelligence, which facilitates the granting of mandates and celebrates the value of both markets’ respective knowledge. The Wine and Travel Italy website makeover, the Chamber’s entrance into novelty, circular-economy-led, sustainable sectors, the launch of the Vantaggi Program – which offers member-exclusive rebates – as well as a wide array of events and business opportunities, have made 2021 a truly remarkable year.
