This week, Mecaer America Inc., the Centre of Excellence for landing gears, inaugurated its new calibration and hydraulic oil testing center, as well as its MAZAK Integrex e-670H machine, one the most sophisticated equipment of its kind on the market.

The multi-million-dollar investment will allow this Italian subsidiary to increase its capacity with new opportunities, promote the growth of the company and create new highly-skilled jobs in the region.

Mecaer America Inc. will also be able to consolidate its position as a world leader in the manufacturing of landing gears for helicopters, regional and business transport aircraft and military training aircraft.

Mr. Chris O’Neill, President and COO Mecaer America Inc. welcomed several distinguished guests at the inauguration, including : Mr. Yves Robillard, Member of Parliament for district of Marc-Aurèle-Fortin; Mrs. Silvia Costantini, Consul General of Italy in Montréal;  Mr. Ray Khalil, Municipal Councillor for district of Sainte-Dorothée, Town hall of Laval; Mrs. Danielle Virone, Executive Director at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada; and Mr. Jean-Philippe Charbonneau, Consultant at BA.
