Steve Waterhouse – Ministère de la Cybersécurité et du Numérique
Assistant Deputy Minister, Information Security and Cybersecurity / Ministère de la Cybersécurité et du Numérique
Steve Waterhouse was appointed on January 1st, 2022 as the Assistant Deputy Minister of Government Information Security and Cyber Security in the new Ministry of Cybersecurity and Digital .
With a military career that included training soldiers and officers in combat arms, culminating in becoming one of Canada’s first cyber soldiers, Mr. Waterhouse has many years of experience in computer network management, first at Land Force Quebec Area Headquarters and then at the Montreal base’s Metropolitan Network.
Along the way, he became the first Information Systems Security Officer at the Montreal base, then at the Royal Military College Saint-Jean, where he rebuilt the computer architecture.
Passionate about giving back to the community, he does not hesitate to share his military and public speaking experience with the Canadian Cadet Youth Movement.
