Matthieu Cardinal is Vice President, FinTech Development and Corporate Affairs at Finance Montreal. He heads the FinTech Development unit of the organization and works to develop Montreal’s FinTech scene locally and internationally. He manages the Montreal
FinTech Station and is Co-President of the Canada FinTech Forum organizing committee. Mr. Cardinal is a member of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers’ Technological Innovation Advisory Committee, as well as on the Investment Industry Association of Canada’s working group on FinTech. He entered Finance Montreal in 2013 and successively occupied the functions of Director of Corporate Communications and Vice President, Strategic Partnerships. Mr. Cardinal has over 15 years of experience in investor relations and financial communications. He started his career as an economic researcher in the financial media industry, notably at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. He also worked in investor relations for the TMX Group and Quebecor Media. Mr. Cardinal is an MBA graduate from HEC Montréal.
