Michele Colavito, born in 1980, graduated in Naples in 2003 with a degree in International and diplomatic studies. From 2003 to 2013, he served as project manager at the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, providing support in the planning of national and EU resources for development. Thanks to his expertise, from 2013 to 2015 he coordinated a cooperation project between the Italian, Tunisian and Lebanese Ministries of Culture for the enhancement of UNESCO sites.
He has collaborated with international organisations such as the Union for the Mediterranean and PlanBleu in the field of sustainable tourism.
Since 2013, he has been senior project manager at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers – Department for Cohesion and Southern Policies and, since 2023, he has been coordinating the Clust-ER tourism of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
He collaborates on a permanent basis with regional administrations to support European planning relating to territorial cooperation and teaches a Master’s degree in Euro planning at the LUM in Bari.
