The Premio Venezia is a prestigious prize which recognizes annually outstanding Canadian businesses, people and institutions that maintain or develop working or business relations with Italy.
For the sixth consecutive year, the ICCC is pleased to honour, through the Premio Venezia, the excellence of partnerships between organizations in Québec and Italy. These synergies have generated innovations, discoveries and shared growth while affirming the importance of trade links between our business communities.
Since the first year of the Award, the Premio Venezia has grown in scale and importance, and it continues to evolve, reflecting the great diversity of the partnerships submitted by the candidate organizations. Consequently, for 2008, the jury has added “Scientific Collaboration” to the three existing categories of Institutional, Industrial and Commercial.
Candidacies for the Premio Venezia were submitted for evaluation by the jury, which is made up of personalities from the business world and academia : President of the Jury, Claude Demers, CEO, ADRIQ; Jean-Pierre Arseneault, Direction de l’Europe, MDEIE; Nadia Decobellis, Senior Management, Samson Bélair/Deloitte Touche; Éric Dequenne, Director, Europe, Investissement Québec; Lionel Gauvin, Vice-President, International Business Development Support, Montréal East Region, Desjardins; Paul E.
