Eat & Think Pink Canada at SIAL Montréal 2024

The “Eat & Think Pink” campaign returned to Montreal for a second year. Organized in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, the program of activities for OPAS, the largest organization of pork meat products in Italy, included a presence at the International Food Exhibition (SIAL) from May 15th to 17th, tastings for professionals organized at the Institut du Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) and the École hôtelière de la Capitale in Québec City, as well as media events.

OPAS showcased a range of products highlighting 100% Italian pink pork meat from a controlled supply chain, promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle. This range includes a variety of ready-to-eat products, such as salt and pepper or paprika and rosemary flavored ribs, bacon-wrapped or herb-wrapped filets, and pulled pork in barbecue sauce.

OPAS aims to offer its products to the Quebec market, placing innovation and sustainability at the heart of their approach in their production methods throughout the entire “farm to fork” chain. Their commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by initiatives such as the installation of a high-efficiency gas co-generator to reduce CO2 emissions, as well as purification systems for the recirculation of non-food use wastewater.
