The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada is proud to announce the appointment of Carmine D’Argenio as chair of the board and president.
A graduate of Concordia University, Carmine D’Argenio is an influential Quebec businessman who has served as President and CEO of BMW MINI Laval since 1997. Eager to give back to the industry and the community, as well as to support relationships with manufacturers, Carmine is an active member on numerous boards of directors. He has always been greatly involved with the Italian community in Quebec and in 2010 he was awarded with the Cavaliere del Ordine del merito della Repubblica Italiana distinction.
During this important period of economic recovery, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, under its new presidency, aims, more than ever, to develop synergies and promote business opportunities between Quebec and the Italy. Carmine D’Argenio is aware of the importance and scope of the mission entrusted to him and is devoted to the objective of increasing business relations between the two regions in order to contribute to Quebec and Canada’s economic recovery
“Italian know-how extends to a range of industries, far beyond agri-food and tourism. My team and I will work closely with our members and partners to encourage and promote these opportunities, both here and in Italy ” said Carmine D’Argenio. “Quebec has a lot to gain from the sharing of knowledge between our two societies. Now more than ever, the time has come to work together in this period of economic recovery. ”
